（本刊讯） 酝酿已久的《印染》增刊国际版终于与大家见面了。

　　《印染》创刊迄今逾二十七载。作为国内首家印染专业科技期刊，她阅尽了我国纺织印染工业改革开放以来发生的沧桑巨变；历尽了我国印染行业从过去只能加工棉布一直到现在能生产各种化纤印染布的大大小小的科技攻关战斗。作为中国印染行业传递国外先进技术信息和交流国内科研成果和生产经验的第一媒体，《印染》本身也得到了很大的发展。

　　跨入了新世纪，加入了WTO，《印染》应该做些什么? 为此，本刊编辑出版了这本增刊国际版，要让世界认识《印染》，让《印染》走向世界!

　　“观察与思考”栏中两位业界资深人士的宏观报告，以英文全文译出，相信有助于“老外”全面了解中国的印染和染料工业；而“四大前沿”中的一组“微观”的高新科技论文则向世界展示，我国在新世纪的染整科技最新领域的研究和应用方面并不落后，有的是与世界保持同步的；“生态环保”问题将一直会是印染的主旋律，该栏中的五篇文章从不同侧面介绍这方面的内容。增刊当然也要兼顾国内读者的需求，所以仍保留了“生产实践”和“测试与标准”两个栏目。

　　要让《印染》走向世界。本刊会在今后每年都出一本这样的增刊国际版，把我国的印染业介绍给全世界。以后我们还要约请世界著名的染整专家、学者为《印染》撰稿，共同交流，让我们这个纺织大国的《印染》期刊与国际接轨。这本增刊同时也是赠刊，每位《印染》常年订户都将免费得到一本。谢谢!

　　After making meticulous preparation for a long time, the first supplementary issue of the "Dyeing and Finishing" in international version is born today.

　　The journal of "Dyeing and Finishing" (monthly), known as China's first science and technology journal special in dyeing and printing field, and the first media to transmit the world up-to-date technology information and exchange the domestic scientific research achievements and practical experiences, has developed greatly since it started publication in 1975.

　　After China's entry into the World Trade Organization in the new century, we schedule to publish this issue in order to making the world know the journal of "Dyeing and Finishing" and making the journal enter the world simultaneously.

　　This supplementary issue in international version is revealed in the following columns: Interview Experts, Interlinking Important News, Review of Focuses, Leading Edge of Technology, Ecology & Environment Protection, Production Practice, Measuring Technology, Meetings & Exhibitions, and Dyeing and Finishing Horizon, covering up-to-date science and technology achievements, practical experiences and latest developments of dyeing and printing industry both at home and abroad. Most of papers are translated into English to help foreigners read it easily.

　　From now on, we plan to publish such an issue every year, so as to introduce China dyeing and printing industry to the world. At the same time, we will invite world famous experts and scholars to write articles for the journal, and promote information communication between China and foreign countries.
