Capability:
• Rapid measurement of glass and ceramic materials
• Diameter range 0.5-60um
• Measures generated include: Mean (Diameter), SD to a resolution of 0.01um, and histogram
diameter data in 0.25um bins to allow extraction in Excel of % of fibres above or below any
threshold
• Speed: up to 20,000 measurements per minute depending on quality of fibre spread
• Total measurement time including sample preparation is less than 3 minutes per sample
• Uses same 70*70mm glass slides as OFDA100
• Repeatability of mean diameter and SD measurement better than 0.1um
Operating System:
• Instrument runs on a standard Windows XP notebook computer (included).
Requirements:
• Clean mains power - 110/240m volts
• Static control is preferable for measurement of glass and ceramic materials
• For the measurement of animal fibres a climate controlled laboratory is required.
