In terms of exhibitor number, Chinese Mainland fields the biggest contingent. The other top participating economies are Italy, Germany, Chinese Taiwan and Japan. In terms of exhibit space, China tops the list, followed by Germany, Japan, Italy and Switzerland.
One of the special features of the combined exhibition is that exhibits are organised into sectors based on manufacturing processes. The spinning sector occupies the largest exhibit area, followed by the washing/dyeing/bleaching/printing/finishing sectors, knitting sector and weaving.
Following the tradition of ITMA and ITMA ASIA exhibitions, exhibitors must display original equipment at their stand. Hence, protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) has been a top priority and stringent controls are in force at the exhibition. There is an onsite Legal Secretariat office manned by IPR lawyers to support exhibitors. For the first time, a set of IPR procedures has been uploaded on the show website to guide exhibitors on the action they need to take if their rights have been infringed.
ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014 is organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co Ltd and co-organised by MP Expositions Pte Ltd. The Japan Textile Machinery Association (JTMA) is a special partner association of the show.

New venue and dates for 2016 combined show
In anticipation of growing industry demands, the next ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition will be held at the new National Convention and Exhibition Centre (Shanghai) from 24 to 28 October 2016. Located in the Hongqiao business district, the venue features state-of-the-art facilities and easy accessibility.
