Back to the history, just a few years after he founded the company in 1873, Heinrich Stoll went on to invent the world's first purl stitch hand flat knitting machine- and thus revolutionized the textile machinery market. 　　One more important STOLL development: the Productivity Enhancement Pack, which is available for the CMS machine range, consisting of electronic hardware and operating system improvements in conjunction with the application of the new M1plus® software version a further productivity increase: in average of around 4% depending on the knitting mode and pattern.

　　Another STOLL development is for the CMS Multi Gauge-machines on the exhibiting site: because of the ongoing demand for ultra-coarse knits a new Multi Gauge-needle has been developed. The new knitting needle, available for the gauges E2,5.2 and E3,5.2, has a bigger needle hook and a higher needle head enabling a larger amount of single treads to be processed. It can accommodate considerably more yarn providing knits close to handcrafted coarse knitwear optic.
